Questions and Answers

  • Q. Are these gray market tractors?
    A. No. Gray market tractors are tractors that do not meet EPA standards but are allowed in the US under a 1999 law in limited numbers. Gray market machines are normally used tractors and many are very hard to impossible to get parts for.

  • Q. Do these tractors have a normal 3-point hitch and a PTO?
    A. Yes all tractors we sell have both of these items. They are standard category "I" three point. The PTO is 2 speed.

  • Q. Are these Jinma tractors new to the US.
    A. No. They have been coming into the US for almost 20 years. Many companies rebrand them. Nortrac, FarmPro, etc. We have counted about 75 diffrent names that Jinma tractors have been rebranded as.

  • Q. How about service on the tractors... who does that?
    A. We service anything that we sell. You can also service it yourself. They are easy to maintain.

  • Q. Do the tractors come with a real manual?
    A. Yes. There is a factory manual and one that we produced. Ours is very clear and has many pictures to point you in the right direction.

  • Q. Are the engines reliable?
    A. The Chineese make more Diesel engines than anybody now. The company that makes the Jinma engine has been at it for more than 50 years. The engines have been very reliable.

  • Q. Are there any of these tractors with lots of hours on them without major problems?
    A. Yes. I have heard of some with 8000 or more hours. I personally know of one in northern Idaho with almost 7000 hours on it. The owner states that he has had no major problems. If you are the average small land owner you will put about 100 hours per year on a tractor so it should last a very long time.
