Service contracts for new or used equipment
That's right. You can get a service contract for your equipment no matter if it
is new or used. This service contract is through the same company that Kioti and
Toro uses. Price depends on several factors and we will be happy to provide a
quote. It is less expensive that you might think. Please see our FAQ below.
FAQ
Q. Will this service contract cover anything that goes wrong?
A. No and nor will most others. For example of your engine freezes and breaks
because you did not put any anti-freeze in it..that's neglect and would not
be covered.
Q. Do I have to service my machine under this coverage as in change oil etc?
A. Yes. Just like with a car warrantee you will have to preform normal maintenance
and keep receipts showing you bought oil, filters, etc.
Q. If my machine has a problem do I have to stop using it?
A. Yes, just like with a John Deere or Kobota warrantee you must do all you
can to prevent further damage to the machine if there is a problem.
Q. Do I get a rental machine if my machine is in the shop?
A. Unlike a John Deere or Kobota warrantee which do not offer any coverage for
a replacement machine you will be given an allowance for a replacement machine.
Q. Do I have to take my machine to a certain shop to have it worked on in order
to be covered?
A. No, you can take it to any place that you are comfortable with. Repairs do
have to be authorized before any work is done. After the work is done the servce
contract company pays the repair shop directly.
Q. Does this service contract pay for every part on my machine?
A. No, there are certain things such as belts, hoses, filters bulbs and brake
linings that are considered normal wear and tear items. These are not covered.
Q. Does this pay for transport of my machine to a shop for repairs?
A. There is an allowance for machine transport. Again this is something you
won't find covered with the big name brands.
Q. Are there any restrictions on what type of equipment I can get a service
contract on?
A. There are no restrictions on type but if it is a new machine it will have
to have at least a 6mo warrantee and then the service contract would go into
effect after that period.
Q. Can I get this service contract and start using it right away?
A. No, there is a 90 day no claim period. That prevents somebody from blowing
their engine and then getting a service contract the next day and filing a claim
for repairs.
